Little League International Divisions
Age determination calculator
Baseball is ages 7 to 16; Players 5- and 6-years of age who have completed two seasons of tee ball can “play up” for player development. See below for a breakdown of current divisions.
Ages overlap in several divisions of play. All players (7-16 yrs old) should attend evaluations so coaches can assess skill level. Players will be drafted in each Division (MP, Minor, Major and Senior).
Tee Ball
Often, a family’s first introduction to Little League® is in the Tee Ball program. Tee Ball is the entry level division for players, ages 4-6. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child’s love for the game.
Machine Pitch (MP)
Ages (5-8). 5 yr. old players must complete at least 2 seasons of Tee ball and have the option to “play up”. The goal of MP is to help young players transition from tee ball into a more advanced program where they'll start to refine their hitting, fielding, throwing, and strategic skills while also learning the rules of the game of baseball.
-Basic Information: The Pitching Machine is at 40-46 feet (distance varies because of skill level per season). Bases are at 50ft. As the season progresses our coaches will adjust to achieve 40ft pitching distance.
Minor (Player Pitch)
Ages 8-10: Kids pitch in this division, with a 60-foot diamond and 46 feet pitching distance. Little League International Pitching Rules apply for player safety. NOTE: Advanced 8-year-olds can choose to “play up” for player development.
